This beautiful green chapati is easy to make and nutritious. The key ingredients is Palak/Spinach and garlic and spices which gives unique flavor with whole wheat.I tried many ways and fixed to this method because this way of making consumes more greens which is my priority. The big whole bunch of palak makes 8 chapatis appx.I felt it was a good try out.So I am sharing it with you.More benefits of Palak
Oil - 1spoon
Garlic pods - 2
Green chilli's -3
Salt
Turmeric
Cumin seeds(crushed) - 1/2 teaspoon
Spinach - 1bunch
Whole wheat flour - 2 cups
Procedure
1. Heat pan and pour 1 spoon oil ,after heating add 2 crushed garlic pods and fry them for 1 min.
2. Add finely cleaned and chopped spinach, salt, turmeric, crushed cumin seeds,3green chillies and close with lid.
3. After 4-5 minutes the spinach will get half cooked.i try to leave moisture so that no need to add water for preparing dough.(don't make it dry.)
4. Take whole wheat flour and mix it with cooked spinach leaves and prepare a soft dough.Let it rest for 15mins.It makes more soft chapathis.
5. Make balls, dip each one into dry whole wheat flour, and roll out into thin circles.
6. Place a flat, ungreased griddle on the stove at medium-high . When hot, place a rolled-out chapati on the griddle. cook until tiny brown spots appear.
your hot palak roti is ready to serve.

- If the dough remains save it in a refrigerator by wrapping it or storing in a air tight container.
- Before using let it come to room temperature.
