Bendakaya Perugu pachadi is very easy to prepare and tasty too....We really loved it..Felt it is a good variation with okra and bhendi.
Ingredients based on the number of serving.
Ingredients
Curd
salt
coriander leaves
onion
Bhendi/Okra
Popu/Tadka/Thalimpu
oil
dry red chili
urad dal - 1/2tsp
cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
mustard seeds - 1/4tsp
hing
green chilies
chana dal - 1/2tsp
Procedure
1. Take a cup of fresh curd.To this add chopped onion,salt,coriander leaves and set aside.
2. Chop the okra into 1/2"pieces.Heat a pan add 1tsp oil and fry this okras uncovered till they are done.switch off the stove and let it cool.
3. Transfer fried okras to curd after they get cooled.
4. Heat same pan add 2tsp oil add broken red chilies,urad dal,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,green chilies.add pinch of hing.saute for a while and switch off the stove.let it cool for a minute.
5. Add this mixture to the curd and mix nicely.
This goes perfect with rotis,kichidis...rice too...
