Kudumulu
"using rice ravva"

Today is the second day of Vinayaka Chaturthi.I prepared kudumulu as neivedyam for vinayaka...Kudumulu can be prepared in many ways today i am sharing kudumulu using rice ravva...this is so simple & quick to make...

Ingredients
Rice ravva - 1cup
Water - 2 cups
Ghee - 2tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
salt - 1/2tsp
Chana dal - 2tsp(soak for 5-10mins)
Procedure
1. Take a pan add 2tsp of ghee after melting add cumin seeds, chana dal and saute for a while.

2. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil. When the water comes to boiling point, add rice ravva and stir till no lumps form and let it cook for 4-5mins with lid closed.
At this boiling point add rice ravva
3. Take the lid, If the ravva absorbs all the water ,switch off the flame and let it sit for 5more mins with lid on..

4. After it cools take it to a plate and make them into roundells with hand.

Kudumulu are ready for neivedyam.

  • To prepare Rice ravva - wash rice and drain the water completely and make it dry. Then grind the rice to course powder like sooji..My mom usually prepares this a lot and give me for storing.
  • You can even buy them from store.
